This Prescut Carnival glass iridescent bowl in the Octagon pattern was made by the Imperial Glass Company. This is an old bowl made in the early part of the 20th
century. It does not have the Imperial Glass mark on it as they did not start putting marks on their products until later in the century.
The pattern known as Octagon has large and small hobstars in profusion separated by ribbons on the the side of the bowl. On the bottom, there is one large
pinwheel in the center. There are hobstars between the rays of the pinwheel.
This bowl is shallow, measuring 10 inches across and is 4 inches in height. In good condition. There is one fairly large chip out of the foot as shown in the
pictures. However, it still displays well and would make a beautiful addition to any collection. It is also very heavy, weighing over 3 pounds.
