This Monet gold tone bangle bracelet, signed Monet©, is very beautiful! The fine pattern of lines in the bracelet's center makes a nice contrast to the eye catching diagonal lines cut into the edge. These really catch the light making for a sparkling fashion statement that will really be noticed!
History: Monet was founded in 1927 as "Monocraft" owned by Michael and Jay Chernow. They initially supplied initials for handbags. Started marking jewelry "Monet" in 1937. They became leaders in the jewelry industry in the 1940's making gold and sterling silver jewelry. The company has been sold a few times starting in 1989. The latest sale was to Liz Claiborne in 2000.
The bracelet is in very good condition. Some surface scratches to the center design; but not really noticeable on casual inspection. The bangle measures 3 1/2" in diameter, 9 1/2" outside circumference, 8 3/4 inside circumference, and is 6/8" wide.
